Shobha De visits and nominates CPAA to take forward the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Campaign Clean India) is a national level campaign by the Government of India covering 4041 statutory towns to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country.This campaign was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself wielded broom and cleaned a road. The campaign is Indias biggest ever cleanliness drive and 3 million government employees and schools and colleges students of India participated in this event.He also invited nine celebrities to take up the challenge and spread it among others. He asked each one of the celebrities to nominate nine more people to join the greatest ever cleanliness campaign and from there the chain would continue. This is a great idea indeed and it is heartening to see all of them have taken up the challenge to spread awareness of cleanliness among each and every one of us. Reliance Group chairman Anil Ambani who is one of the 9 primary nominees took up this challenge and inturn nominated columnist Shobha De. Shobha De has now nominated CPAA on her list of 9 to take this chain forward. As a part of this endeavour, she and her daughter Anandita visited CPAAs Mahalaxmi office to initiate this movement.
