Shocked to hear the news of Therese Mahers recent retirnment. Hit me like a truck. A gr8 player, a unique talent. I always thought of her as the Zidane of camogie. She went to the well so many times and came up empty. She never gave up on her dream however. Her male counterparts could learn alot off her. Dat picture of her falling to her knees last year says it all. Im a male and im over 25 but ill admit i shed a few tears on witnessing this gr8 moment. Was she the best ever? I think Angela Downey may have something to say about dat but she was up der. In the words of fall out boy Thanks for the memories and i wish you every success in da future!
