Shocker: Kano Emirate Council Suspends Emir Sanusi’s Coronation Malam Sunusi LamidoKano state emirate council has suspended the celebration for the coronation of Malam Sunusi Lamido as Emir of Kano. An insider at the palace told newsmen under anonymity that “of course the coronation was suspended and it is in relation with arrangement which is going to be historic”. The source revealed that “really, the issue of security challenges is also something to work on and ensure the peaceful celebration but I knew that soon the occasion time will be announced”. Our correspondent in Kano recalled that the coronation was slated to take place before the Eid-el-Kabir celebration but for reasons known to the organisers, it was suspended.
