Shocking Mystery about North Waziristan Total Population of North Waziristan was 3 lac 61 thousand 2 hundred 46 (according to census 1998). Annual Growth Rate 1981 to 1998 was 2.46. I am not only very much surprised but shocked to see , the total registered Number of North Waziristan in IDP cams is 9 lac, 55 thousand 9 hundred 96 so far. + remaining Population in Waziristan + IDPs who went to their relatives and not get registered + a large number moved to Sindh , all together it seems Population of Waziristan is around 12 lac according to our Government. How it possible? The 3 lac population increased into 12 lacs, only in 16 years???? despite the fact that Waziristan has no that much natural Growth of population, The agency has been under war ,exit migration continued…. How it is Possible? Even Imran Khan in his statement said, that the total Population of North Waziristan is not more than 6 lacs. Can anybody solve this mystery??? Suhail Memon. Freelance Journalist.
