Shockingly, every single person in the marijuana group, including - TopicsExpress

Shockingly, every single person in the marijuana group, including those who only smoked once a week, had noticeable abnormalities, with the nucleus accumbens and the amygdala showing changes in density, volume and shape. For those of you that dont know, the amygdala is primarily concerned with emotions and how you perceive/express them. Though I have not tested this hypothesis, it seems to me that writing these abnormalities off as negative outcomes of smoking marijuana is completely false and unfounded. Sure, I believe that my recreational marijuana use corresponds to the changes in the density, volume, and shape of my amygdala, however I am no where convinced this is a bad thing, and actually see it as a huge benefit. Those changes are what allows me to think differently, react to my emotions more deeply, etc. Abnormality, sure. A negative consequence of using marijuana, absolutely not.
