Shoestring Budget Philanthropist, means I wish to present a thread within my two cents that makes a positive difference to those who learn from it. I am often struck by the disparity between those in positions of Civil Servants and the objective mission of serving others, and the perpetual abuses toward many Civil Liberties. The voices through History have shown many who wrestle with granting others even civil discourse on such matters, putting off acknowledgement of basic human rights, when from a Service perspective, this would have been possible to overcome centuries ago. My impatience is with the learning curve, the lack of sufficient models of behavior, and resistance borne of fear, greed, ineptitude, and true malicious intent to keep people from a path of united human dignity. When we serve each other well, we are all better for it. When we only Expect More, and Pay Less, as one advertisement beckons, we ultimately diminish the quality of our experiences, our goals, our relationships, and create a greater disparity of conscience. Do well by others. When we look after those who cannot be afforded a human kindness, it will be worth the challenge. Seek balance and wisdom. Change creates fear among many, but change ignored brings harm to all.
