Shoot Begins With The Best Cast – Both Old And New (4 June, Hong Kong) The lensing ceremony for the movie ATM was held in Kowloon on 3rd June. In attendance were the main cast Kelvin Kwan, C Guan, Joanne Yew, Paw Hee-Ching, Lo Hoi Pang, Stanley Fung and Ha Yu. In this movie, Ha Yu holds dual roles as producer and actor. The cast arrived at Kowloon Tong, My Garden where the ceremony is held and dressed as their respective movie characters. My Garden also serves as an important location in the movie where a century wedding is held within the movie. is produced by Hong Kong’s Star Art Limited and mm2 Entertainment Limited, and co-produced with BesTV, Guangdong TV Station, Fox International Channel / STAR Chinese Movies, ZingShot, The Number 8 Yard, Cornerstone Picture and Shanghai Wang Zi Qiao Film Cultural Workshop. The movie is distributed by GSC Movies in Malaysia. It explores the generation gap between the elderly and youths through an amusing story about an ATM heist gone wrong. A heartwarming comedy, ATM will feature cameos from many familiar veteran actors. Two years in the making Producer Ha Yu came up with the movie’s idea two years ago. In this time, he promoted ATM at the 2013 Hong Kong Filmart and brought his old friends Nina Paw Hee Ching, Lo Hoi Pang and Stanley Fung on board. Ha Yu also dedicated most of the two years towards searching for three suitable candidates to play the youngsters in the movie. He wanted a balance between older and younger actors to provide a more varied performance. “We have been in this line for so long and I feel that we should pass on our experience to the younger generation while we still have the passion,” Said Ha Yu. The final candidates were Kelvin Kwan, Joanne Yew and C Guan. Malaysia’s Blockbuster Actress in Hong Kong to cooperate with C Guan and Kelvin Kwan Among the younger cast is fresh faced Joanne Yew. The Malaysian actress broke into mainstream success as the female lead in her first movie “The Journey” (2014). The movie broke Malaysia’s local box office records, raking in 17 million Malaysian ringgit (4 billion HKD). Besides commercial considerations, producer Ha Yu casted Joanne Yew as he saw great potential in her. “Joanne has a fresh appearance with great prospects. I expect great things from her when shooting starts,” said Ha Yu. Producer Ha Yu is looking to release ATM in China, Hong Kong and regional markets. A release date will be announced soon. will start shoot throughout the whole June from 1st day of the month. Principal photography will take place in Hong Kong City and Lantau Island.
