Shooting, Santa Ana CHP makes the stop on the suspect. The suspect shot several rounds into another car and the victim was transported with non life threating injuries. The victim continued to follow the suspect while on 911 with CHP. CHP had their K9 and other officers in position to take the suspect down. The shooting took place at the 91 and 5 interchange and the suspect was followed to the 91 EB just east of Wier Canyon. Great Job to CHP and keeping it safe with no injuries. Road rage may be the motivation behind a shooting that injured a man on the eastbound 91 Freeway near the 5 Freeway in Fullerton on Monday afternoon. The shooting initially occurred at about 4:20 p.m. in Fullerton. The victim then called 911 and California Highway Patrol caught up to him in Anaheim Hills. A possible suspect was detained about 200 yards east, said Bob Dunn with the Anaheim Police Department. The victim was taken to a trauma center in unknown condition. Fullerton Police shut down the eastbound 91 Freeway at Magnolia Avenue at about 7:40 p.m. to gather evidence. The California Highway Patrol said all lanes were re-opened at 8:50 p.m. This is the second shooting on the 91 Freeway in less than a month. In July, David Cabrera allegedly fatally shot one man and wounded another man while driving on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim.
