Shopian killings: Confession of Police an eye opener Srinagar, Sep 10:Terming the police confession that the persons killed in Shopian were innocent as an eye opener for Indian civil society and world community, APHC on Tuesday appealed the international human rights organizations to pressurize India to stop the bloodshed of innocent Kashmiris and solve the Kashmir for once and all. The APHC has strongly denounced the government action of imposing curfew in Shopian. Expressing complete solidarity with the people, the conglomerate has paid tributes to the courage of inhabitants of shopian. Resorting to often repeated dictatorial tactics, government once again put APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar farooq under house arrest so as to sabotage the joint executive and general meeting of conglomerate called on Tuesday to discuss the Gagran killings, worsening rights situations, and tense relations between India and Pakistan. The spokesman said government by doing so has once again restricted the religious, political and social activity of Mirwaiz-e-Jammu and Kashmir. Stressing Kashmir was being ruled by despots, he condemned the house arrest of Mirwaiz in strongest terms. The spokesman has further denounced the house arrest of senior hurriyat leader, Zaffar Akbar Bhat, soon after the Shopian incident. He termed the action of government as one of being “frustrated”.
