Shopping for project materials! This is my shopping method that saves me money AND makes me money, all while Im spending my hard-earned money. Step 1.) Check out the store website (home depot, in my case). AddToCart everything that is on my project list. Locate the total price and make a note of it. Step 2.) Head over to Cardpool or another discount gift card site and buy some discounted electronic gift cards that add up to the total price of my (Home Depot) order. I saved 10%!! Hang on to the emails with your giftcard numbers!! Step 3.) Go back to my Home Depot order page. Copy the url for each of those items on my list and add them to my want list on Ownza (links provided on this page). Then I activate the Ownza cashback and close all by my email tab. Step 4.) Open a new tab. I locate the best-paying cashback site of the many that I use (ebates, jollywallet, etc.). In my case today it was TopCashBack at 3% and click-thru to the store (Home Depot). Checkout as normal, paying with the giftcards (found in my email). I just paid $73 for an $83 Home Depot order and still have $3.90 LEFTOVER on a giftcard, while expecting 3% cashback in a few weeks! THAT is how I shop.
