Shopping today and a young man in a wheelchair reached out and - TopicsExpress

Shopping today and a young man in a wheelchair reached out and tugged my jacket. I stopped and squatted down to talk to him - his halting speech pattern reminiscent of cerebral palsy. Showed him what I had, held his hand and just visited with him. His Mom, I think, a few feet away, came back and apologized that he bothered me, then sadly said, one of Gods mistakes. I got up, still holding his hand and said, I was raised to believe God made no mistakes. He is a gift. The mistake is you dont view him as one. Maybe unfair of me to say that - but how sad she would say that and he could hear it. I squeezed his hand and hugged him and turned around and walked away. Sitting in my car crying that any Mom would feel that way.
