Short excerpt from Michael Rothers suite Katzenmusik Katzenmusik is the 3rd Michael Rothers solo album, released in 1979. Certainly one of his best, its a long suite almost only for electric guitar and electronic effects obtained with the guitar sounds. The piece is all divided in several short movements, with lots of wonderful variations of its basic themes. Im playing here a short part of Movements 1 and 7. Of course, the electronic effects are impossible to reproduce here. So, I advise everybody who loves guitar to listen to the entire CD. Its wonderful and one of the most different works composed for electric guitar almost alone and some percussion. Katzenmusik, in German, means something as Music for Cats ( Katz=Cats, one of the very, very few German words I know... ). Hope you like my modest playing here...
