Short race recap: Swim Felt good. Water looked great (no large waves), but there were some large swells to deal with. Target = 45 -50 minutes depending on conditions. Actual = 42:01. Bike Started a bit slower than I wanted (but prob a good thing) as my legs were really tight. Nutrition was good until mile 45 or so and then I could not manage to keep any gels or clif blocks down. Threw up twice (ugh). Goal time = 3:00. Actual = 2:54:30 Run I hate running. My best estimate was 2:30 (best case scenario) to 2:45 (most likely scenario). Unable to take down gels, I was only able to handle orange slices and water. Super hot out, so my only saving grace was the ice I kept putting under my hat to keep me from completely burning up. Actual Time: 2:55:42. Best overall estimate was 6:45, and I came in at 6:43:43. Long hot day, happy it is over! Thrilled I got to meet people from CTF (Susan M. Ott Greg Grskovich)!
