Short story time pt.7! There was a full moon out and the time was 12:38 a.m. I awoke from my slumber to hear the sounds of tapping in my house. I got up to see what it was. I went to turn on the light, but it didnt work. Huh.. I mumble to myself, It was working earlier today. Instead I lit a candle. Walking through my house I keep stepping on old floor boards that creek and almost crack. I stop and listen closely to the noise. Yes, it is tapping, But from where? I ask myself. I go to turn a corner and walk down the hall, but I stop to see a ball slowly roll towards me. The tapping got louder and closer. I hear a childs laughter in the darkness of my house. I slowly start to back up when I trip over my daughters doll; my candle is gone. Darkness everywhere I look. The laughter gets louder and closer. Only now do I have the light of the full moon to help me see. I look outside to see my daugter swinging with another child. Its 12:48 a.m. Why would she be out there? Whos kid is that? I ask myself. I have no neighbors. I stop looking at her. I go to turn around and I see my daugher in the house. But how? I ask myself. With my daughter is the child. Red eyes and no lips. All I see is teeth ready to rip my flesh into peices. My daughter grabs me and pins me to the floor. I cant move. I cant see. The child lights the candle and stares at me smiling. He grabs a knife holds it up high ready to stap me! And then!!!...... I awake...
