Shortly after 11 p.m., showers are moving through the shore area. This will continue through the overnight hours. We would be remiss if we did not mention the possibility of strong wind gusts from any isolated thunderstorms that develop, especially near the coast. Recognizing the threat, the Storm Prediction Center has placed the northern shore counties in the slight risk category for severe thunderstorms, where there is a 5% chance of the development of a small tornado and a 15% chance of damaging winds.
