Shortly after midnight on August 9, 1969, 18 year old Steve Parent was leaving 10050 Cielo Drive, in Los Angeles, after visiting his friend Walter Garrison, who lived in a house separate from the main house and was the groundskeeper. As his car reached the security gate, he was approached by a handsome young man, Charles "Tex" Watson, stabbed once, and shot four times. His was the first senseless death that night. It was not the last. Before the killers were done with their nights grisly work, five more people would be dead. Abigail Folger, heiress to the Folger Coffee fortune, who after having been stabbed 28 times, appeared to be wearing a red gown instead of the white gown she was actually wearing. Her boyfriend Wojciech Frykowski, a screen writer, was pistol whipped, shot twice, and stabbed 51 times. Jay Sebring, and internationally known hair stylist was shot twice and stabbed 7 times. Eight and a half month pregnant actress Sharon Tate was stabbed 16 times, and her unborn son died with her in her womb. The "reason" for these senseless murders was to precipitate "Helter Skelter", the impending race war between blacks and whites, predicted by both the book of revelations and the Beatles "white" album, at least according to the man who ordered this slaughter of six innocent people. The person who dreamed up this insanity and ordered the deaths of everyone at 10050 Cielo Drive, the man who had pretty much failed at everything he ever tried was and still is named Charles Manson.
