Shotgun Kennel is pleased to announce a breeding has taken place with our Gracie (Shotgun’s Amazing Grace) and Ozzy (Abbe Lane’s Prince of Darkness) owned by Sara Chisnell. If all goes according to plan we will be having pups about February 28, 2015. Gracie is a liver and white, fifty-two pound bird finding machine. Gracie has hunted wild birds in Montana, South Dakota, Kansas and Michigan. She has also guided hunts and has had several hundred birds shot over her. In addition she has been featured in outdoor magazines showing off her “Versatility.” Her enthusiasm for hunting may be only exceeded by her desire to get the closest spot next to the us on the couch or get under our covers in bed. She is the quintessential family gun dog. Ozzy is a black and roan 60 pound companion/hunting dog owned by Sara Chisnell from Kalamazoo, MI. Ozzy is from Abbe Lane Kennel in Kalamazoo. Sara hunts Ozzy on upland birds as well as waterfowl. She has also kept him busy in a number of sport dog events as well as the show ring where he has earned his UKC Grand Champion Title. Ozzy accompanies Sara to work at the United Kennel Club on a regular basis. By her own admission Ozzy is “Spoiled Rotten” and also takes up space in her bed. Ozzy and Gracie are what versatility in a German Shorthaired Pointer is all about. Both Ozzy and Gracie have had health screenings and come from some of the best German Shorthaired Pointer lines in the U.S. Both Sara and I want these pups to go to great homes.
