Shots fired at Los Angeles airport LOS ANGELES, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- A Transportation Security Administration agent and a gunman were wounded in a shooting at Los Angeles International Airport Friday, Los Angeles media reported. The shooting forced the evacuation of Terminal 3, airport officials confirmed. Law enforcement personnel said a gunman with a high-powered rifle was shot and is in custody, KCBS, Los Angeles, station reported. CBS, quoting law enforcement sources, reported the shooter was dressed in military gear. CBS also reported the shooting occurred beyond the security checkpoint. Tory Belleci of the cable television show Mythbusters tweeted: Heard gun shots then everyone starting running for the door. Not sure if anyone was hurt. #LAX. Passenger Robert Perez told the television station TSA agents yelled a man had a gun. I heard popping and everybody dropped to the ground, Perez said.
