Pictured: the mushroom scallops in white wine and caper sauce, the dessert platter with key lime cheesecake, mangocheese cake, strawberry basil cheesecake, coconut tiramisu, blueberries, strawberries, and raw chocolate; the potato, rocket and shiitake mushroom salad; the raw vegetable spaghetti with its fantastic tomato caper sauce; and the cauliflower panna cotta and falafel with pickles vegetables and raita. the shiso (roof-top grown) and shiitake mushroom amuse bouche; an ingenious and flavorful mango mousse and strawberry ice palate cleanser; My shots of the crabless cakes with sesame wasabi sauce and the pickle and cheese plate didnt quite turn out. :( The hazards of a phone camera in the evening on a patio. The scallops were also a bit bigger, and the sauce, slightly richer, both still wonderfully flavourful, I wish I had had some of the baguette from the pickle plate for the sauce. But I licked the plate instead and that worked out in the end. There were more potatoes and some lovely heirloom grape tomatoes for the potato/shiitake/rocket salad, and I love po-ta-toes. So, I was also happy about that. The crabless cakes were a bit denser than the summer party and so, a little more robust in their flavour this time around. They were a bit larger and fluffier at the dinner party. I liked both versions for different reasons. There was a bit more falafel, a little less panna cotta on the follow-up plate than at the dinner party.The falafel was crispy on the outside, chewy and moist on the inside. i enjoyed this dish both times, but since Im a big fan of falafel, I was happy with the proportions. How Briana Kim manages to improve on her perfection, Ill never know.
