ANSWER: Personally I will not be buying any CANNED food for the following reasons; •CANS are sealed with a toxic resin which contains BPA •So much meat in the USA and Canada is contaminated with eColi these days •So the way they get around this is to drown the meat in CHLORINE (bleach) 2: If you want to make your own supplies, then I suggest that you do so using GLASS BOTTLES, much less resin. 3: Try and get your own meat directly from the farmer and you will need a very large chest freezer, the bigger the better to hold the meat until you can process it all. 4: Make sure that the Cattle and Sheep you buy from the farmer have not been eating GMO plants or GMO grains. read more here preppersnewsletter/QA/qa00004.php
