Should The chief end of man is to glorify God, and to enjoy him - TopicsExpress

Should The chief end of man is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever be changed to ...is to glorify God, enjoy Him forever and share Him with the world. It seems this beautiful statement from The Westminister Shorter Catechism lacks external focus and even feels selfish to some degree without the heart and purpose on this earth to making a difference in other peoples lives. I would also change man to human beings or men and women. Perhaps picky, but words are important. I was reading a A.W. Tozer book this morning and this was in there and it felt unsettling. Perhaps I am incorrect, but theologically I think I could make a case that our purpose while on this earth is absolutely to glorify God and enjoy Him, but is it also not be sharing Him with others with everything we got until our last breathe on this earth?
