Should a labour union hold a city to ransom? When maximum number - TopicsExpress

Should a labour union hold a city to ransom? When maximum number of citizens including exam-writing students, daily wage earners, sick & elderly take the public transport to reach their respective destinations, should one whimsical man spread terror on the streets of Mumbai? More so when two different courts (temples & guardians of the law of the land) have clearly ruled against the labour unions rabid mans (who himself has become a secondary pet dog to the Clock party) unreasonable demands!!! I often wonder where are the leftists, communists, Maoists, liberals, seculars, award winning book writers, intellectuals who take pride in arm chair criticism & love taking out candle marches that end in upscale bars, lounges & pubs, now? Not a single word of protest? No talk of accountability, responsibility, sensitivity, compassion, respect for law of the land, etcetera??? Will this brigade file a PIL to seek monetary damages from this union leader & his party? The answer is a big NO!!! Such double standards & selective activism are the real diseases. BTW this selective silence was in ample display when a flashy airline was grounded & its employees went without salary for months or a leading media house summarily sacked many employees. So this brigade simultaneously bows down to capitalists as well as unionists! All their venom comes out only in select cases involving select parties and people. Scumbags! 😞
