Should the Christians of the Middle East stay, because Muslim leaders suddenly say so? We dont read about what these leaders concretely have done, are doing and suggest to do to help the Christians endure this Jihadi nightmare. What do you think about their call, is it sincere or just empty words to appease the Western public? ------------------------ Al-Azhar, Sunni Islams most prestigious centre of learning, Thursday urged Christians in the Arab world to stand firm in the face of jihadi violence and not flee into exile. The call, made at a Cairo conference organised by Al-Azhar, came just days after Pope Francis pressed the worlds Muslim leaders to condemn terrorism carried out in the name of Islam by groups such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda, and called for an end to the persecution of Christians in the Middle East.
