Should there be a statute of limitations on Murder? Cold Case files from 100 years ago are irrelevant and the manslaughter only warrants a 5-7 year prison sentence. The psychological unraveling that therapy justifies asks the question, if the people could purge themselves of the guilt or angst of taking the life of another human being without the ramifications of being incarcerated if the statute of limitations was removed on old cold case files over 10 years old would they? Would society change as a whole or continue down its own demise? We the people have spoken. I say let them give account of what terrible deeds they have done for public record only so we may have a more accurate understanding of the truth and bring forth focus on us as a community. Plus, advancements can be made in psychiatry for identifying social trends, fads, and mishaps.
