Shoulder update: my first exam, post-surgery is promising. The surgical procedure was slightly less damaging than expected. Originally I was told that I have an 85 percent chance of some recovery, ten percent chance of no recovery, and some chance of coma or death. AND ZERO PERCENT CHANCE OF FULL RECOVERY. This is now revised to 100 percent chance of some recovery, Im a little better already, nine days after surgery. Also it seems to me that with the right exercise and diet and care, that there might be a greater-than-zero chance of full recovery. Dr. says five to six weeks of therapy to increase range of motion, and then exercise for strengthening. I will see my surgeon again on May 2, to plan for my elbow surgery and check my progress. Meanwhile, PT 3 times a week, plus what I can manage at home. ... I no longer have to worry that I wont one day juggle again.
