Shout Out to SPD School Resource Officer Philip Group! We received the below email today from a 7th Grade teacher at Sonora Middle School. Good afternoon, Today in literacy the students worked on writing describing paragraphs. I asked them to choose someone they viewed as a friend and choose a character trait that described them. One of my students chose to write about Officer Group. I wanted to share with you the impact he is having on the students at Sonora Middle School. Below is the students paragraph: Officer Group is best described as helpful. He helps other people with personal problems, this is an illustration of how helpful he is. This makes me realize that he cares about others. Officer Group is frequently referred to as an awesome officer. I used to think he was scary, but now I realize that he is nice. An explanation of how Officer Group helps others provides insight into the caring person he is.
