Shout Out to our ESL Department at Haw River Elementary for organizing National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) activities! Students and faculty learned about the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the United States and celebrated the groups heritage and culture. As a culminating activity, teachers and students dressed up in outfits that represented a number of different countries. As you can see in the pictures, everyone had a good time! Many thanks to our ESL Department members for their hard work and efforts!
