Shout out to NB Power: I grieved for the trees, my steadfast precious and best friends, that were lost during Arthur in Marysville, NB, and Saint John, NB, as much as I would grieve for people. Yesterday, I asked NB Power to euthanize a tree that had been overlooked which had been split in half by Arthur and was leaning against the lines and blocking the sidewalk. Shout out to NB Power for removing a safety hazard within hours after they were made aware of it. I apologize for criticizing them for planting trees on their property so close to the power lines when it was the City of Fredericton Government that planted them. Only two of the mature trees survived. Looking at the crosscut, I wonder if the tree was vulnerable to the storm. #Arthur
