Showers and thunderstorms will track through the KWWL viewing area - TopicsExpress

Showers and thunderstorms will track through the KWWL viewing area this morning then die out as it hits more stable air. It will be another warm and muggy day with highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s and southeasterly winds at 5-15 mph, gusting higher, as a warm front continues to track to the north. Low pressure will track through the western half of the state late this afternoon and through tonight. This will set the stage for strong to severe weather over the Midwest, including the KWWL viewing area. We will have the main threats of large hail and, with the proximity of the low, tornadoes. Damaging winds will also be a concern along with the potential for locally heavy rainfall. Scattered showers and some thunderstorms will linger into tomorrow morning with some showers sticking around into the afternoon. It will also be rather chilly. We will be on the back side of the low and cold air will be streaming in… temperatures will be steady or falling on Saturday and may only be in the mid to upper 50s on Sunday. Lows may dip into the upper 30s on Monday morning with afternoon highs climbing back into the mid to upper 60s. Mid 70s will return for the middle of the week.
