Shramik Elgar andolan! Bamboo workers protest against being branded as thieves by forest department. They wove baskets, flowers and other products outside the office of Divisional Forest Officer, Buffer Zone. The department gave positive assurances regarding supply of green bamboo, issuance of bamboo cards, technology and marketing. Hopefully their will be some change in the forest departments perspectives and better relationship between department and tribals.
