Shri Amarnathii Yarta arrangements finalized at Ramban To finalize arrangements for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2013, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Shyam Vinod Meena, convened a meeting of officers of civil administration, police and other concerned agencies here on Wednesday. Superintendent of Police, Javed Matoo, ADC, Bashir Ahmed Khan, Commandant IRP 9th, Commandant CRPF, ACD, ACR, Dy. S.P Traffic, NHAI, Railways, BRO, representatives of constructing agencies, district heads of various departments attended the meeting. During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on various issues including sanitation, uninterrupted power and drinking water supply, healthcare, accommodation, functioning of committees constituted for keeping check on price and quality of eatables, traffic management, adequate storage of food, setup of control room, establishment of temporary toilets etc. The DDC asked the committee comprising ACR, Dy. S.P Hq. and Dy. S.P Traffic to regulate the langer and other arrangements besides ensuring that the langer organizers prepare food as per norms prescribed by the administration. The DDC directed the BRO and traffic police to keep ready men and machinery at the identified land slide prone areas to meet any emergency. He asked the officers of Power and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted power supply and drinking water supply besides directing the officers to check the identified accommodation and other related arrangements for stay of yatries. It was informed that a joint control room will be established in district headquarter, for convenience of yatries, with telephone numbers displayed on National Highway at various locations.
