But the kaingariya devotees told Periayava that for Pradosham mama only Periayva was known. So they told that Pradosham mama if Periayava gave consent Sankara Jayanthi will be performed. . At that time, Periyava told the devotees that he will be happy if I gave consent. I will be happy and others will be happy if he celebrates Bagavat Badal also. Pradosham mama readily consented for Periayava’s command. For Pradosham mama, Periyava is Baghavat Badal,Adisankarar. Because we have not seen Bagavat Badal or Adi sankarar. Thus Sankara Jayanthi was celebrated in a grand manner. Periayava enquired about the functions with Pradosham mama. Pradosham mama told Periayava that Bagavat Badal picture and Periayava picture were placed side by side and they were taken in a procession. For Periayava ,this was not acceptable. For Periayava , Bagavat Badal picture must be at the top and below only my picture must be placed. Bagavat Badal must be at the top always. Even in Pradosham mama’s house, Bagavat Badal picture will be at the top and Periyava picture will be below that picture. Such is the bakti of Periayava towards Bagavat Badal. In another incident, kaingariya devotee was telling, that vidwans can come to this side and another side disciples. Periyava immediately told that before Bagavat Badal all are his disciples and only Bagavat Badal is the vidwan. Before Periyava, all are his disciples. When Sankara Jayanthi function was celebrated in a grand manner at Tiruvidaimardur, Periayava was waking backwards facing the Bagavat badal . It will be difficult to walk backwards. Such was the guru bakthi of Periyava. Even if we visit temples or Acharyas, after namaskarams, we can many devotees will go backwards and move out . Similarly, Periyava walked backwards facing the guru at Tiruvidaimardur. One great scholar came to Periayava where to go for upanyasam . Invitations had come from Chennai and Tiruvidaimardur. If we go to Chennai, we may get a good crowd.Periyava asked the learned scholar whether he had read Sankara Vijayaram and other books and the scholar said yes. Tiruvidaimardur is the place where Parameswaran blessed Bagavat Badal with full anugraham. Tiruvidaimardur is the place where sathyapramanam took place.So Periyava asked him to do upanyasam at Tiruvidaimardur .
