Shri Katyayani Siddha Peeth of Vrindavan Dham This Siddha - TopicsExpress

Shri Katyayani Siddha Peeth of Vrindavan Dham This Siddha Peeth (a highly spiritualized holy place) is established on the divine ground of Vrindavan. This is one of the 52 peeth of “Maa Bhagwati”. Mother “Katyayani is worshiped here as the sixth power (day) of Maha Shakti during Navratra. This is mentioned in the holy book ‘Durga Saptshati’. She is worshiped here as the emblem of supernatural power. The idol of Maa Katyayani is made up of ‘Ashtadhatu’ (the combination eight natural extracted metals). This temple is situated near Shri Rangnath Temple. There is a very large unoccupied land before the temple. It is written in scriptures that Shri Krishna used to play here with his friends in his childhood. In the Puran “Tantra Shastra”, it has been described that in this sanctified land of India, King Daksha, the father of Goddess Parvati performed Yagya (ritual performance). He did not invite Lord Shiva in the Yagya. Maa Parvati felt insulted and immolated herself. When, Lord Shiva learnt about the incident, he placed the body of Maa Parvati on his shoulder and started “Tandava Nritya” (an awesome dance of Shiva which portends a cataclysm), when the anger of Lord Shiva could not be pacified, Lord Vishnu minced the body of Maa Parvati with ‘Chakra’ (circular missile) so that Shiva could be restored to his composure. The minced limbs of Maa Parvati fell on different parts of the earth where 108 Siddha Peeth were established. But, only 52, out of 108 Peeth’s could be discovered, so far. Katyayani Peeth is the place where is Maa Parvati’s “chool” (hair) fallen. This Peeth was known even during the period of Mahabharat: “Katyayini Mahamaaye Mahayoginyadhishwari, Nandgopa Sutah Devi, Patim Mey Kurute Namah, Iti Mantramjapantastyaah Poojamchakruha Kumarikaah” This means that when Shri Krishna was in Braj, the Gopi’s used to make the idols of Maa Katyayani from sand and worshiped her with the prayer of getting Krishna as their husband. As a result, there wishes were fulfilled. It is said so that the young girls / women who are not getting married or whose marriage is being delayed due to unknown causes should offer Sindoor (Vermillion) to Maa Katyayani everyday and worship her. Thus, she gets married without further delay. Recently, the gigantic construction of this temple was established on 1st February, 1923 by Shri Keshavanand Swami Ji as per the Vaishnav rituals. Following description is found in the ‘Arya Shastra’: “Braje Katyayani Paraam” This means the Mahamaya Peeth of Brahma Para-Shakti (supreme power of Brahma) is situated at Vrindavan. Infact, Vrindavan Dham was not in existence for thousands of years. All the places of pilgrimage of Braj region were discovered once again by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. But the credit of recovering Shri Katyayani Peeth goes to Shri Swami Keshavanand. He was absorbed in penance for 38 years in Uttarakhand, and then the inspiration of recovering Katyayani peeth landed on him. He straight came to Vrindavan and started searching this unknown peeth. He found out a secluded place near the river Yamuna, Radha Bagh by name. There was beautiful ‘Nikunj’ (bowers) around the place. Keshavanand constructed a very big temple of Maa Katyayani there. Sindoor & Chundri Prasad of Maa Katyayani has a very significant role. These are considered as very lucky any women. This Prasad bestows luck & fortune to the married women, and bestows boon on the unmarried young girls as well. The momentousness of this Prasad is very great all over the world. RADHE RADHE When we understand our relationship with God then we all will be happy. It is an essential factor for establishing peace in the world. All happiness in the material world has a beginning and an end, but happiness in Krishna is unlimited, and there is no end. Please accept my humble obeisances All glories to Srila Gurudeva ...
