Shri N S Ramakanth, the original warrior for responsible SWM in the city, is to received the Kempegowda award tomorrow from the Chief Minister. This is truly a worthy recognition for someone who has rolled up his sleeves and worked shoulder to shoulder with so many employees of BBMP, and with hoteliers, apartment communities, and many others. That he can continue to do this with such zeal in his 70s, is something to look up to for so many others. Congratulations, Sir. You have been a real inspiration to me, and to hundreds of others. If only, besides honouring you, BBMP and the state government would embrace your ideas for SWM and public service!
