Shri Shri Guru-Gourangau Jayatha NECTARAL LINK BETWEEN CUTTACK AND KASI WITH HIDDEN TREASUSRE OF BHAKTI Gachhan Vrindabam Gouro Byaghrebhainakhagan Khagan Bane | Premonmattan Sahonruttyan Bidadhe Krishnajalpina || At an early autumn end-night of the Year 1516, Saka 1437 Lord Chaitanya avoiding Public crowd came out of Neelachal on pilgrimage to Vrindaban. Saratkala Haila Prabhura Chalite Haila Mati | Ramanada-Swarup sange Nibhrute Yukati || Mora Sahaya Kara Yadi Tumi Dui Jana | Tabe Aami Jaun Dekhi Shri Vrinadabana || Ratre Uthi Banapaathe Palayan Jaba | Ekaki Jaiba Sange Kahe Na Laiba || (Ch.Ch.2/17/3-5) He was dissuaded only to be accompanied with two persons. They were Srila Balabhadra Bhattachary and one Brahmin serving associate for carrying the barely necessary clothing, water pot and preparing alms. Lord Chaitanya as he was very much beloved and affectionate to the King as well as to the public. They had noticed Gouranga Mahaprabhu most of the times used to have had in ecstatic state (Bhavabesha). Hence this time for his safe solitary journey the arrangements and decisions were assigned by settling out the correct path for him through the North-Central Indian plateau, covered with dense Jungle named as “Jharikhanda Jungle”. The pre-planned route selection with Land mark was settled with the directions of the then Royal Administrative authorities, Shrila Sarvabhouma Bhattachary and Rai Ramananda. Such type of service oriented arrangements was made for easily approaching to Kasi. As because Kasi is being just at the right (exactly to the northern direction) of Vindhyachal and for which the course-track of River Mahanadi was selected as Land mark of the settled rout of movement up to Vindhyachal range of Mountains. Thus the movement-direction plan from Neelachal up to Vindhyachal range of Mountains was settled confirmed. Srila Balabhadra Bhattacharya, being one of the learned best among the interested persons, was chosen accordingly with proper instructions for guiding through out the course of Journey, if Lord Chaitanya used to be in the state of extremely ecstatic exhilaration. All such matters were physical not brought to the notice of Shraiman Mahaprabhu, for not to breach his state of ecstasy in silence. On that particular evening Mahaprabhu Shri-Krishna-Chaitanya as usual went to Shri Jagannath Darshan followed by the end-night stared walking with full of speed as if he was running. Accordingly Shrila Balabhadra Bhattachary and his serving associate, those who were waiting for him, also started following with so much speed as if they were also running behind him. Before reaching the Cuttack, the then Royal Capital, Mohaprabhu entered into the Jungle and so also these two followers entered in side the Jungle behind him. So Cuttack city was remained at their right side. …….2. (2) Prasidhha Patha Chhadi Prabhu Upapathe Chalila | Kataka Daine Karei Bane Prabesila || (Ch.Ch. 2/17/24) Mahaprabhu, avoiding the popular rout of Pilgrimage, accepted marching on a narrow rout leading to enter inside the Jungle. At the entry point to the Forest path there is a small hillock resembles as alike a model of Giriraj Goverdhan of Brij Dham. The near by Stream of Puri Canal with the sense of feeling as River Yamuna. Ban Dekhi Bhrama Haya Ei Vrindaban | Saila Dehi Mane Haya Ei Goverdhan || Jahan Nadi Dekhe, Tahan Manaye “Kalandi” | Mahapremabese Nache Prabhu Pade Kandi || (Ch.Ch. 2/17/55-56) This was the foremost initial curse of River Mahanadi (Maha Sura Sarit Prachi Saraswati Nadi,-i.e. the Scriptural Name of Mahanadi), which had been flown emerging from Kapil Kunda of Vindyachal Range to be mingled into the Mahodadhi (Bay of Bengal) by touching the feet of her husband, Swami Shri Shri Purusottam- Shri Jagannatha. During the course of time, when the main flowing course was diverted due to certain geographical causes with natural process of change it became narrower and it was called with name only as River Prachi. Then again after some years with natural change of geographic phenomenon it was filled up with Sands. For better irrigation purpose Govt. of Odisha renovated it by removing the sand and soling the sides with rock stabs. Now the stream is called as Puri Canal. There are places on this canal stream with the resemblances of “Kaliya Daha”, “Kesi Ghata”, “Bansi Bata” etc. It is, also with curiosity, found that the names of the villages surrounding, a pond with in the near by the paddy field with the similar feeling of “Radhakund- Shyamakund” as that was discovered by Lord Shri-Krishna- Chaitanya Mahaprabhu at then that village named Arati in Brija Dham. Such places were discovered 14 years back and Goverdhan Puja-cum-Annacutta Mahothsab is being celebrated since then. During dynastic reign of King Pratapraudra Dev, River Prach was filled up with full flow of water as a main branch to River Mahanadi and it was well navigable. Mahaprabhu in ecstasy (Brija Bhava Bibhora) throughout from Neelachal towards on the way Nimapara-Niali -Balianta-Balipatna following the course of River Prachi and keeping Cuttack at his right, reached bank of Mahanadi. Mahaprabhu Shri Chaitanya and the follower, cross-entered the river belt at Naraja to be appeared at the opposite side bank of Mahanadi (i.e. northern side Bank). Following the courses there after Mahaprabhu started traveling to-wards western direction. Srila Balabhadra Bhattacharya, during the course of traveling, was guiding intermittently some times when Lord is with extreme ecstasy. He himself and his serving associate were following running behind Lord Chaitanya. It was obviously to be considered that pre selection of the route with Landmark of River Mahanadi belt, settled and instructed to Srila Balabhadra Bhattacharya. The dense forest area of Mahandi belt is very reached with green vegetation for Elephants to leave in with full of their edible item. Even after the destruction of the Forest areas, now also Wild Elephants are seen at the River banks of Mahanadi. Bank of River Mahanadi as the selected path for Lord Chaitanya to move in side the Dense Forest up to Kasi was pre selected as per the following proof. …… 3. (3) Aar Dine Mahaprabhu Kare Nadi Snana | Matta _Hastiyutha aila Karite Jalpana || Prabhu Jale Kritya Karen, Aage Hasti Aaila | ‘Krishna Kaha’ Bali Prabhu Jal Pheli’ Marila || Sei-Jala-Bindu-Kana Lage Jaar Gaya | Sei ‘Krishna Krishna’ Kahe Preme Naache, Gaya || (Ch.Ch. 2/17/30-32) The Second proof of considering to select River Mahanadi as the Land mark was that as per the Noble and Humble Instructions of the then Emperor, Smd. Bira Shri Gajapati Goudeswara Navakoti Karnata Kalebargeswara Biradhi Birabara Pratapi Shri Shri Prataparudra Dev Maharaj, his most respectable devotional administrators Srila Sarvobhouma Bhattacharya and Rai Ramananda had managed to collect some groups of Brahmin Families from the area of Ghumusara Athagarh, South Odisha. Because they were very much inclined to Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu by coming across him during his visit to south India. For providing alms with utmost eagerness those families were placed in locations on Mahanadi River banks starting from Banki-Subarnapur to-wards western directions. Such type of Brahmin Families known as Athagadia Brahmin are now been seen in the region only from Banki-Subarnapur of Cuttack District up to Dasapalla of Nayagarh District. With heredity they used to put-on Tulasi Kanthi on their neck. They were pure Vegetarian and very much fascinated to Hari Sankirtan. We could certainly come to the decision for finding out the preplanned land mark was made in the dense forest path by going through the verse that… “Nirjharete Usmadake Snana Tinibaar | Dyusandhta Agnitapa Kasthera Apaar || (Ch.Ch.2/17/66) The proof is now also available that there is a Hot-Spring at Deulijhari of Angul District. Deulijhari hot-spring is situated at the Western Bank of River Mahanadi. This is to be considered as the Third Proof. The Forth proof for Mahanadi was selected as a Land Mark that the Aborigines of Satkosia, Bamada, Banei Reigion of Odisha are called them selves as they belongs to race of “Krishna Guru Sampradaya”. They are fond of Sankirtan. Mathura Jaibar Chhale Aisena Jharikhanda | Villa Praya Loka Tahan Parama –Pasanda || Naama-Preme Diya Kaila Sabar Uddhar | Chaitanyer Guddha-Leela Bujhite Sakkti Kaar || (Ch.Ch. 2/17/54-55) The pre planned route selection of Land Mark was probably made with the course of river Mahanadi and the Vindhyachala Mountain range of central plateau of Peninsular India. As per the (notebook of Swarup Damodar) Swaprup Damodar Kadacha, (Shri Chaitanya Sanyasa Leela and Antya Leela) the versions of Ascetic pastimes and Concluding- pastimes were used to be memorized and discussed among the Vaishnavas in Vrindaban. Being the close most associate of Lord Chaitanya, Swarup Damodar’s notebook, a valid Document for Vaishnavas was accepted for memorizing the Lord. Although the Notebook was there but that was not providing enough proof for assigning the Epic Chaitanya Charitamrita. Completely Surrendering to Shri Shri Madan Mohan, Shrila Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami was writing the Epic and the verses were spontaneously emerged with lyrics as;… ……4. (4) Sei Likhi Madana Gopal Jei Lekhaya | Kastera Puttuli Yena Kuhuke Nachaya || Ei Grantha Lekhaye More “Madan Mohan” | Aamar Lekahan Jena Sukera Pathana || (Ch.Ch. 1/8/78-79) No more details could be traced out from the availability of the Epics regarding the Dense Forest Path between Cuttack and Kasi although Rupa-Sanathana and Raghunatha Das Goswamis had followed the same path of Lord Chaitanya for traveling betweend Madhu Puri and Jagannath Puri. The lengthy Jungle Path indicating only two terminal Points named Cuttack and Kasi can only be traced out. Eimate Nana Seukhe Prabhu Aila Kasi | Madhyanha Snanha Kaila Manikarnikate Aasi || (Ch.Ch.2/17/82) In the Ecpic, Chaitanya Mangal, Srila Lochan Das Thakur described the entire course of movements of Lord Chaitanya through the Jungle Path in seven hymns only,i.e. – Anurage Jaye Prabhu Ranga Dui Aakhi | Singhera Gamana Dhayen Dekhiya Na Dekhi || Sangera Sangatigana Na Pare Hantite | Kataadur Jaya Prabhu Dekhite Dekhite || Jharikhanda Pathe Prabhu Chalila Satwaara | Kandaila Pasu Pakhi Brikhyadi Prastara || Guranga Bediya Mriga-Byaghragana Nache | Hinsa Nai-Sabe Sukhe Nache Prabhu Kachhe || Banajantugan Sabe Kritartha Kariya | Chalila Gouranga Pathe Prema Binodiya || Krame Krame Uttarila Tirtha Varanasi | Aneka Achhena Tatha Parama Sanyasi || (Chaitanya Mangala, Shes Khanda-2/78-79). Thus the Linkage-Line of Lord Chaitanya’s the Forest Path between Cuttack and Kasi, the two popular places can only be seen in these Epics. Entry point to the True Devotion (Sudhha Bhakti leading to Prem Bhakti), i.e. Gyanasunaya Bhaktai, the principle which had been settled at bank of River Godavari on discussions between Rai Ramananda and Lord Chaitanya,… …… Prabhu Kahe Eho Bahya Agei Kaha Aar | Rai Kahe Gyanasunya Bhakti Sadya Saar || (Ch.Ch.2/8/66) quoting Smd.Bhagabatam 10/14/3 Gyane Prayasamudapasya Namanta Eba Jibanti Samukharitam Bhabadiyabartam | Stanastith Sritigatam Tanuanuhnanovi- Ye prayasoagita Jitoapyasi Taistrilokyam || (Ch.Ch.2/8/67) (Oh, Lord being invincible, You stand generally conquered in (all) the three worlds (heaven, earth and netherworld) even to them who spend their time solely in venerating with their body, speech and mind,(without any offer on their part) remaining at their abode and at spontaneously listening your stories and having no further any desire for the knowledge of enlistment.) Prabhu Kahe Eho Haya Age Kaha Aar | Rai Kahe Prema Bhakti……….. || Ch. Ch. 2/8/67…67…..68 (Lord Chaitanya accepting this version said, “This is alright, Proceed further if there is any……” ……..5. (5) Here only the acceptance, for “Soul to have perfect performance to achieve the Goal”, is started. The Perfect Practice of Worshipping God for achievement perfect Goal i.e. transcendental Love, the real Happiness. The unique principle is to be immersed in real Happiness. This is the technique of the settled principle, which is applicable to all creatures to achieve the Extreme Goal, immersion in eternal Happiness i.e. real salvation. This is also applicable to whole creation of the Lord. Even if those, who have no brain to utilize their knowledge, should not be deprived off. The supreme personality of God head, Lord Krishna, the most benefactor and top most merciful to his entire creation, had a desire to bestow the real salvation, i.e. to get the permanent shelter at his lotus feet through his Transcendental Devotional Love. Practically there is no perfect laid down procedure to be followed or practiced. It depends only on the causeless Mercy of the Supreme personality of God Head. So he descended with the Most Merciful Form for converting the impossible to possible. “Anarpitacharaim chirat Kaurnayavatinah Kalauh Samrpayitumunnutojjwalarasaam svabhaktaishriyam | Harih Puratasundaradyutikadambasandipitah Sada Hridayakandare Sphuratu Bah Shachinadanah || For bestowing the treasure based on elevated resplendent mellowest essence, Transcendental Devotional Love, that was never bestowed ever before from time immemorial became possible to bestow only when, in this KaliYuga, the enlighten molten Gold-Form, He descended as the Most Merciful Incarnation . He descended with the secrete wealth, “Golakera Premadhana, Hari Nama Sankirtana...”.That is “Swabhakti Shriyam…”, His hidden Treasure. Hence He is a Hidden Incarnation with the name, “Shri-Krishna-Chaitanaya”, the literal meaning of which is the “Treasure with Krishna Consciousness”. At First the secrecy of the principles was settled through the discussions between the Lord, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and his closest devotee form Rai Ramananda at the bank of River Godavari. “Sava Nistarite Krishna Apane Ashiya | Bujhibe Krishna-Bhakti Toma-Sava Laiya ||” (Ch.Bhagabat.1/2/119) Then the action of implications and implementations was carried out by Lord Shri Krishna Chaitanya him self through his wonderful supernatural pastimes at the bank of River Prachi-Mahanadi, i.e. “Nama Prema Diya Kaila Sabar Uddhar | Chaitnyer Gudha Leela Bujhite Sakti Kaar|| (Ch. Ch. 2/17/55). Such type of wonderful mercy of Lord Chaitanya even is beyond the expectations of top most intellectual mass. The most benefactions of Lord Chaitany were described by the Characteristics in their Epics. The most wonderful pastimes of traveling through the Dense Forest path from Cuttack to Kasi bestowing the transcendental love to all where is existence of Soul. “Karuna Sagara Prabhu Shri Goura Sundara | Sava uddharite Hoi Achhena Gochara ||” (Ch. Bhagabat 3/3/322) “Krishna Krishna Bali Prabhu Kare Ucha Dhawani | Brikya Lata Prasfullita Sei Dhwani Suni ||” (Ch.Ch. 2/17/45). Trees, Wild Animals, Birds and Aborigines all were immersed (Soul with the Superme Soul/ Atma with Paramatma) in the Merciful Transcendental Love. “Sava Nistarite Prabhur Kripa Avatar | Sava Nistarite Karen Chaturi Apar ||” (Ch.Ch. 1/7/37) ………. 6.. (6) The unsaturated soul within the physical bondage in this materialistic world could thus be in The Saturation. The places Connected Between Cuttack and Kasi by side of River Mahanadi has been sanctified with sacred foot steps of Premavatar Lord Chaitanya. The vital data lying hidden is to be ascertained. My article on the places, “PILGRIMAGE POINTS WITH SACRED FOOT MARKS OF PREMAVATAR...” may kindly be seen and taken to the consideration for Renovation. The Hidden Treasures, which has no end to it and they are not with in the scriptural frame work. More and More relishing Mellowest Ambrosia, the more and more profuse desires would ambitiously be developed. One could certainly become mad. The treasury of pleasure was achieved by the Animate and Inanimate, Sentient and Insentient. It was possible only because of the most benefactors Lord Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who can only bestow his causeless Merciful Transcendental Love.
