Shucks, I didnt get nominated for anything in BNMAs popularity contest. I guess schooling, teaching professionally for 8 years, and proficiency on four instruments doesnt woo the powers that be! ;) Dear whoever handles this, want to make this an actual legit thing? Base it on skill/ability, stage presence, and crowd draw and stop making it about stupid friggin cover bands! (Bear in mind, Im in 2 cover bands) This may sound bitter, but it is far from it. I denounce the joke of award system simply because of REAL players like Greg Piontek, John Bacon, Matt Michaud (Sorry to tag ya guys, but I hold yall in the highest of regards) from the area that are the REAL DEAL virtuoso level and get little to no recognition from the conventional norm. It should be for the musicians and determined by musicians, REAL musicians, not ones who can mimic a track. End rant.
