I am in urgent need of money, so I am selling the most precious thing I possess, she wrote. Shatuniha said she had a document that confirmed her virginity and asked the buyer to bring payment in cash. The ad was only listed for one day before a buyer using the name Evgeniy Volnov won the auction with a bid of $29,490. Police are refusing to investigate the auction, saying it does not fit into the definition of prostitution according to the Code of Administrative Violations, the Siberian Times reports. This situation is neither an administrative nor a criminal violation, a police spokesperson told the Siberian Times. The police said they had no right to give a moral assessment of the girl’s actions.
