Sickness Quarantine Day 3: end of day I cant tell you what I have. I can at least tell you its not Strep. But I cant remember, much less be able to pronounce or even spell out what it is I do have. But I am/was/probably still am contagious. Im sure Debra was thrilled to hear that. I was given a 7 day antibiotic. I was kinda hoping for one of those z-packs steroid thingies, but if itll get me back to at least operating level, Ill take it. I forgot how good The Amazing Spider-Man was until I watched it again today. I enjoyed the first 3 Spidey movies from the first decade, but these with Andrew Garfield are better so far (at least to me). I also forgot just how good Denis Leary is as Captain Stacy. Hes got the no-nonsense, in yer face if you dont like it, take no prisoners attitude that you would need for a modern day NYC police chief. When he and Peter were discussing Spider-mans merits at the Stacy table in that one scene, you could hear one of those famous Denis Leary rants coming through in the dialogue. I was a little let down to find out they were going to do the first and eventually the second ASM with Gwen Stacy as the female lead instead of Mary Jane, but in retrospect shes been a better Gwen than whatzerface was as Mary Jane. One major thing about the first ASM I forgot was that Peter never did find Uncle Bens killer. In the Marvelverse I always thought that was a pretty important part of what helped shape Spidey, but it was left out in ASM. Maybe back to civilization on Friday. Not tomorrow, but maybe on Friday.
