Sidewinder Sprints – 09/06 Path Valley With storms in the late afternoon and more on the radar for the evening hours, Path Valley was forced to cancel the night’s action. The Sidewinder teams will visit Path Valley once more in 2014 on Oct 4th for the Sprint Nationals. This week the teams make their first 2014 appearance at Linda’s Speedway. The ¼ mile facility always provides a great challenge for the teams to try to get the extra torque of the 1000cc engines to the ground. With just 6 points races left on the 2014 schedule, Mike Zielonis has shown that his preparation during the week has lead to a championship worthy level of consistency. Mike holds a commanding lead of 288 points. Brandon Yarlett holds down 2nd with 2672 points. To put that in perspective, it is 90.27% with Rohan Beasley in 3rd with 2658 points ( or 89.79%). The battle for 2nd is less than half of one percent. Of the 14 races contested so far in 2014 we have had the following formula of winning teams that created 9 different overall winners.
