*Sidi-Brahim Human Family ~The wonderful sisters Paula Lancaster and Sara Wright ~ I am going to attempt here, to write how we first met the angelic Paula and Sara, but hopefully Paula will correct me if i am wrong, but this is how my mind remembers... Years ago, we received a phone call, my mother told me the kindest lady called asking about Ibn Brahim, she saw his picture in the World magazine...Paula had visited a friend who raises beautiful Arabian horses, deciding she would enjoy owning one. As she strolled through the ranch, she noticed the only Grey, and asked about her and her darling black grey filly. The breeders told her they had leased the mare, but did not mention where, but at that time it didnt matter...she fell in love with her darling strong black grey filly ... which she then bought from these top breeders. Not long after, and being fascinated by the fillys mother, she was looking through the World magazine and stopped on one page, noticing a Stallion who looked so much like the mare she had seen while strolling the ranch! She called the number, and she got lucky! She met my mother on the phone, and arranged a visit ... and there she found where that beautiful grey mare was bred and born, along with her 3/4 brother who was in the ad, Ibn Brahim! We instantly became friends. Years passed, keeping in touch and enjoying hearing the stories of the black grey filly who turned into a magnificent mare...but Paula just had to breed her to Ibn Brahim! The results were her now beautiful Love, Gracia Brahim...as Gracia developed into a wonderful mare, she then bred her to our import from Seville, Spain ... our gift from our forever friend, Don Diego Mendez Moreno, *Tiberio ... the results were a strong built kind gentle very Spanish Arabian looking Joaquin Brahim! She then fell in love with our Luso/Arabs, and bred Gracia Brahim to the imported from Brazil black Lusitano stallion, *Notavel, owned by Costas Lusitanos...Gabriella ... a darling black grey filly, who is going to make a fabulous riding mare. Now this is where Paulas kind sister, Sara comes in! Sara and Paula are partners on Gabriella, and also Sara owns the beautiful bay mare, Bint Olivia {Thee Jesidi James x Olivia de Brahim}, who she loves Trail riding through the Northern California hills and flatland ... There is another story to this story, a very sad story, but the ending was beautiful for both Joaquin and Bint Olivia, thank God! But both fate and faith brought Sara, Paula, and all these great Horses together again...and in my mind, *Sidi-Brahim brought these wonderful friends of ours together too ... I enjoy writing and remembering, and always so important to go back, to remember who should be thanked for their strong mind when falling in love with a Horse ... so again you two, Paula and Sara, and these precious souls you take care of, Thank You both ... and your friendship will stay in our hearts here at Los Acres forever ~
