Sierra Hotel Aeronautics fans: We have an important favour to ask of you. Recently the US Navy began an investigation of former Blue Angel lead pilot Capt. Greg McWherter over alleged misconduct when he commanded the flight demonstration team at NAS Pensacola. The specific nature of the investigation hasn’t been disclosed. But it’s being led by an admiral who the Navy declined to identify and began in March and after complaint filed by one person with the Navy’s Office of Inspector General. Capt. Greg McWherter has led an exemplary service and is greatly respected by all who know him, and sparked shock among those who served with him. Something is VERY wrong with this picture!
