Sierra Leone under serious threats of Ebola virus The government - TopicsExpress

Sierra Leone under serious threats of Ebola virus The government of Sierra Leone must exert more seriousness to fight the EBOLA virus that is now posing a very serious threat on the lives of Sierra Leoneans particularly in Daru, Jawi Chiefdom, Kissy Kama, Kissy Teng and across other areas in Kailahun District. The Virus is gradually spreading and has taken the lives of many people in Kailahun district. I have been reliably informed that a popular young Muslim scholar and teacher of the provincial Islamic Primary School in Daru and a close family member Kamoh Mohamed Sheriff, the deputy chief Imam Sheikh Idriss, a relative of the Paramount chief of Jawi Chiefdom and many others have all lost their valuable lives as a result of the suspected Ebola virus. It is also sad to note that people who have died of the suspected Ebola virus in Daru and Bombohun, their corpses have been locked up in their houses and abandoned without any intervention by the Ministry of Health and Sanitation officials. The ministry must rush now to collect the corpses in Daru and Bombohun for immediate burial in other to prevent the virus from spreading like wildfire. Ministry official will conduct test to ascertain the causes of their deaths
