Sigh. It is sad to realize that some "nonprofits" are corrupt ways to siphon money to the administrators at the top and other boondoggles. It makes it hard not to be cynical, but it is important to remember that there are many such organizations that do good work. On this my attitude is "trust, but verify." The great thing about the internet age is that there are several organizations that audit and examine the percentage of funds that go to non-administrative functions, so it is possible to give wisely.
