Signature Touches Thursday! Moral and Motivation Award Submitted by: Jenna Sauro, CR Coordinator Community: Spring Hills Cherry Hill Nominee: Sean Riley, Dining Supervisor and Jessica Gizin-ski, CR Coordinator Here at Spring Hills Cherry Hill, we pride ourselves on “Caring with a Commitment to Quality”. This past week our community had two new residents move-in: a Mr. and Mrs. V. Mrs. V had been a bit noncompli-ant throughout the entire process including initial refusal of the assess-ment, and complete and utter denial of moving in. The day of the move-in was finally upon us. The family had came early in the morning to set up the room so that their parents could come in to a fully furnished apartment. Around 4:30pm, finally the couple had ar-rived escorted by their son. Mr. V couldn’t have been more thrilled to be here- he greeted everyone he saw with open arms and was willing to take on this new chapter. However, Mrs. V had gotten herself out of the car and perched herself on a bench outside of our front doors. Throughout frivolous attempts made by myself, our Director of Recrea-tional Services, our Valet, Driver and CRC, Mrs. V was still not willing to accept that Spring Hills was now her new home- she event threatened to stay outside all night and/or call a cab to take her “home”. As the night progressed, our Dining Supervisor, Sean Riley and our Community Relations Coordinator, Jessica Gizinski had also made dar-ing attempts to bring Mrs. V inside. After a few kind hearted words and just sitting and listening to the new resident, Sean and Jessica finally made her agree to come in and give it a chance. Sean escorted her up into her new apartment where her husband had been waiting pa-tiently. Although the couple declined a hot meal at the time, Jessica and Sean brought them up some pie and fresh coffee so that they could en-joy some evening treats.
