Significant Snowfall Accumulations Sunday afternoon into Monday Overview & Impacts Low pressure will develop over the southern states and track northeast across the Middle Atlantic Region Sunday into Monday. Precipitation will overspread the region from southwest to northeast Sunday afternoon and evening. The precipitation may start as a mix of rain and snow especially for areas within the I-95 corridor and east. Much colder air will filter in and change all of the precipitation over to snow. The snow will persist Sunday night and into the Monday morning rush hour before tapering off from west to east. The potential exists for significant snowfall accumulations especially for areas to the west of I-95. There is still some uncertainty with regard to the exact track of the low and the amount of cold air in place over the region.
