Sigourney Weaver is said to have signed on for 3 sequels to the hit James Cameron film, Avatar, which is said to begin production later on in the year and to shoot back-to-back. Its said by Cameron about Weavers NEW role in the sequels, shes playing a different and in many ways more challenging character. Further details on Weavers new character have not yet been given. The first of the sequels is set for a December 2016 release, and the follow-ups for Dec. 2017 and 2018, respectively.
