Silent Hills I loved the first installment on PSOne and I - TopicsExpress

Silent Hills I loved the first installment on PSOne and I played the second on PC which is generally great. Then I played 4, or as known as The Room, on PS2 and as weird as the concept is, I thought it is brilliant. I did not like the sequels that followed at all though; in Home Coming - SH 5- the beasts and monsters had no eyes for crying out loud. But boy has the concept changed... yet again! Konami teamed up with the best of inside and outside talent on this project. Hideo Kojima, the man behind the Metal Gear series. Guillermo del Torro, director and writer of El Labirento Del Fauno/ Pans Labyrinth. The Protagonist played by Norman Reedus, best known for his role as Murphy in the film the Boondock Saints. The composer Akira Yamoaka, the guy that composed the thrilling music of the Silent Hill franchise. I mean all the reason why I wish I was 15 again! I couldnt download the playable teaser of the game, I was warned not to! Im at an age, or period, when I dont stomach horror genre at all. Notwithstanding that Horror in games is more of that horror experience encountered in movies. After all, a player is not a 3rd point of view observer, no! I watched the walk-through of the playable teaser on youtube, and even from the point of view an observer - one that is not holding the joystick to maneuver the protagonist - I freaked out. It is too intense, too dark, too morbid... too demonic. I wish Konami all the best on this. It is, by far, the best horror game released after Silent Hill one. youtube/watch?v=Ay_RAkE7bUY
