Silly Phrase #2 ( See previous post for #1 ) The more they look, the more they look. One of the very first things you need to be able to have, in order to successfully train your horse, is his attention. I often joke with pupils, when they manage to keep the horses attention when going past the arena doors, by saying Congrats, you are now more interesting that a door! - along with saying as they pass it again Be more interesting than the door! Be assured they know I am having a joke with them LOL There are lots of ways we can get a horses attention, bend to the inside, use of voice, use of leg. But when the horse is truly working, he too becomes completely absorbed in what you are doing, and develops a level of concentration in which he works in the zone.
