Silver Buckle Ranch needs your help…in the form of $12.76 to be precise. For more than 37 years, hundreds of families have discovered hope and healing at Silver Buckle Ranch. Why Silver Buckle Ranch? Simply because our programs work. We seek to instill values like hard work, honesty, and character that will provide youth with the skills to succeed in life. Consider this testimonial. Silver Buckle provides a place where the youth learn responsibility and with that comes a sense of pride. Ive seen the youth come and learn how to work together; proving to themselves, in fact that they have what it takes to thrive in the world. They take that back home with them, that positive self worth. Silver Buckle is like a searchlight, shining on the youth, presenting life and saying You CAN do this.” Up until a few years ago, Silver Buckle Ranch provided free or partially subsidized programs to area youths. Legislative changes, however, led to the shutdown of our funding source, Rodeo Bingo. As a result, we have restructured programs so that those who can afford to pay for part of the cost of providing the services do so. Our goal, however, is to continue to provide these wonderful programs to youth, including subsidized programs for those otherwise unable to attend. The good news is that the facilities are owned free and clear. The challenge? We need funding to cover the program costs. The current Board of Directors has undertaken a comprehensive analysis of all costs associated with providing programs, including everything from oats to staff to paper, and we have re-tooled programs. We have cut costs to create the leanest organization possible while maintaining operational efficiency. As you can imagine, there have been some tough decisions made along the way. At the heart of every decision, however, is how to preserve this vital community asset to serve the children of Clark County for another 37 years. You can be an important part of this continuing legacy. Silver Buckle Ranch has touched the lives of thousands – whether they faced devastating personal crisis and hurts, or just wanted to fulfill the cherished dream of riding a horse. In this uncertain economic time, we need your support now more than ever. With 2,351 likes as of today, we know there are many in our community who value Silver Buckle Ranch.
