Silver Creek west of Algoma had its dam removed nearly two years - TopicsExpress

Silver Creek west of Algoma had its dam removed nearly two years ago, and salmon and brown trout (fall) and steelhead (spring) are now able to venture upstream. Not saying the dam on the Ahnapee River should go, but wouldnt it be cool if they could put in a fish passage in at Forestville (with a lamprey barrier in place) to allow salmon and trout access while keeping non-athletic fish like carp and suckers out? Would reduce the zoo of illegal activity in the current dam refuge, too.
